La Joya, TX - On May 27th, the Payne Arena was filled with excitement and pride as La Joya Independent School District celebrated the graduation of 1,813 students from La Joya High School, Juarez-Lincoln High School, Palmview High School, Jimmy Carter Early College High School, and Thelma R. Salinas STEM Early College High School. The ceremony marked the culmination of years of hard work and dedication for these accomplished graduates.
The Class of 2023 had impressive achievements, a combined total of over $60.6 million dollars in scholarships. Their commitment to academic excellence was further exemplified by the 187 associate degrees and an impressive 2,639 Career and Technical Education (CTE) certifications earned by these outstanding students.
The graduation day was an absolute success, filled with joyous celebrations and unforgettable moments. The graduates, accompanied by their families and friends, radiated enthusiasm and pride as they walked across the stage to receive their diplomas. Laughter and cheers filled the arena, creating an atmosphere of shared accomplishment and camaraderie.
